State titles, personal bests at Class A Track Championships
Athletes from Polson and Ronan capped their seasons with standout performances at the 2025 Class A State Track and Field Championships held May 22-24 at Legends Stadium in Kalispell.
Between two state titles, podium finishes, and personal records, competitors from Lake County schools made their mark among Montana’s best.
Polson’s boys squad was largely powered by senior thrower Astin Brown, who completed a stellar meet by winning the state title in the shot put and adding a third-place finish in the discus. On the girls’ side, Morgan Delaney was the standout performer for Polson, capturing the state title in the 3,200 meters with a winning time of 11:28.82.
Brown’s winning throw in the shot put measured 64 feet, 7.5 inches, outdistancing the field by a wide margin. He followed that up with a throw of 162-02 in the discus to secure a podium spot and close out his high school career on a high note.
