With the victory, the Pirates advanced to play Frenchtown, a team that eventually lost the Class A state championship to Belgrade on Saturday. Lady Pirates softball have 'strong' showing in Sidney

The Lady Pirates took their 670-mile round trip to play in the Class-A softball tournament and won four of their six games they played in a double-elimination format Thursday through Saturday at the 2017 state softball championship in Sidney.
