ROSCOE THE ROCK SNAKE resides on Mollman Pass Trail, south of Ronan, where he's clearly looking for company. Roscoe joins other rock snakes slithering around the Mission Valley these days. Two have taken up residence on the bike path in Polson – one near the beginning at Seventh Ave., and another close to the top of Polson Hill. They don't appear to be poisonous or territorial – just receptive to the addition of more painted rocks. (Kristi Niemeyer/Leader)
