Polson commission rejects use of eminent domain in property dispute
A developer’s efforts to bring city sewer and water to his property along the Flathead River were stymied by the Polson City Commission during last Wednesday’s meeting.

William C. Hocker passed away peacefully at home in Ronan, surrounded by family, on May 29, 2024, at 7:43 a.m. of natural causes at 100 years of age. A public memorial service will be held Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Ronan Community Center with Chaplain Zimmerman officiating.

Morrison accused of burglarizing same business, again
A Polson man, who was given a suspended sentence on a burglary charge less than a month ago, is accused of doing it again. Bryce L. Morrison, 26, entered a plea of not guilty in Polson District Court April 10 to felony burglary.

Patricia Sue Binger of Big Arm was born in Long Beach, Calif., on Oct. 1, 1944, to Margaret and Hiram Hovick. Ten days later, having never even met her, her father was killed in a DC-3 crash while on a food dropping mission in the Burma/India area during WWII.
