MAC softball dominates Deer Lodge in shutout win
Mission-Arlee-Charlo softball continued its dominant start to the 2025 season with a 15-0 shutout victory over Deer Lodge on Tuesday, March 25, at home.

Brett Thomas McCrumb of Polson arrived in his final Home with Jesus on May 7, 2025. He dealt with a cancer diagnosis over a year ago with courage. He tried treatments and health regimes that would help, but he always relied on the attitude and truth of “I know where I’m going.” His Celebration of Life is Monday, May 19, 2025, at 11 a.m. at his parents’ place, The Barn at Finley Point, with a cemetery burial to follow.

Ronan and Polson athletes qualify for State
Ronan and Polson athletes turned in a string of top-six finishes and personal bests at the Western A Divisional Track and Field Championships, held May 16–17 at the Polson Athletic Complex. Andrews has bad luck at World Championships, but great luck in love life
Polson native TJ Andrews didn’t get the results he wanted at the World Championships of flyboarding in Dubai a few weeks ago. But he did get something better. “There’s no prize bigger than what I got out of this trip,” he said on Monday night. Andrews proposed to his girlfriend, Brie Sellwood, and she said yes. “I had to do it right off the bat,” he said, “I was a little anxious.”

Erwin Donald Bangen, 92, of Hot Springs, walked into Heaven on Christmas Day 2024, surrounded by family, pure as the driven snow. The service will be held on Friday, Jan. 10, 2025, at 1 p.m. at the Lonepine Hall (52 Lonepine Road, Lonepine) with graveside Military Funeral Honors following at the Lonepine Cemetery. Following the services, a dinner and a “short snort” will be provided by the family at the hall.
