Sally Cook, 85
Sally Deane Bailey Cook of Ronan, born July 18, 1938, passed away May 19, 2024, at the age of 85, in Missoula of natural causes. There will be a celebration of her life July 6, 2024, at Valley View Clubhouse, 40765 Valley View Road, Polson, from noon-4 p.m. The reading of her complete obituary will be at 1 p.m.

Ronan Library, city squabble over building ownership

LAKE COUNTY — Signatures are being collected in hope of increasing the mill levy for senior services in Lake County. Advocacy groups hope to get the ballot initiative in the primary election in June by obtaining 500 signatures by March 10.

POLSON — In district court last week, a Pablo man pleaded guilty to sex crimes against a minor — crimes that police were alerted to when the defendant walked into a police station and declared himself a “sexual predator.”

Hamann, Robert James, Jr., 34, was fined $300 and sentenced to 365 days in jail (363 suspended) for the amended charge of partner or family member assault (second offense). He was originally charged as a first offense.
