Justice Court proceedings
Charles Justin Powell, 50, was fined $2,500 for driving under the influence of alcohol, third offense. He was assessed $85 in court costs and sentenced to serve 365 days in jail with 335 days suspended.

William (Bill) Loren Hettich
William (Bill) Loren Hettich, of Polson, passed away at home after a very brief battle with cancer on May 28, 2018 at the age of 81. Bill was born on April 25, 1937 in Yakima, Washington, a son of the late William and Lillian Caldwell Hettich.

Douglas Jerome Wold, 85, of Polson, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on March 8, 2025, at his home on Flathead Lake. A Celebration of Life will be held in Linda’s gardens when the flowers are at their peak.

Ronan council missing two
RONAN — At the first Ronan City Council meeting of the new year on Monday, two incumbent council members were not in attendance to be sworn into their positions. Richard “Dick” Jungers, a longtime Ronan resident and city council member since 2005, passed away on Jan. 3 after battling lung disease. He was 74, and leaves his Ronan Ward Three seat vacant.
