NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON FY19 BUDGET AMENDMENTS The Polson City Commission will conduct a public hearing on January 6, 2020 at 7:00 pm in the City Hall Commission Chambers for the purpose of amending the FY 2018-2019 budget pursuant to Montana law at MCA 7-6-4021. Any taxpayer or resident may appear at the meeting and be heard for or against any part of the proposed budget amendments. The City Commission will take action immediately following the public hearing to approve the resolution to amend the fiscal year 2018-2019 budget. The proposed budget amendments are on file and open to inspection in the office of the City Clerk at City Hall, 106 1st St. East, Polson, Montana. At St. Ignatius in a county cross classification clash on Friday the 13th, the visiting Lady Vikings of Charlo dialed the operator long distance and completed the call on a trio of triples that contributed to relegating the host Lady Bulldogs to a double digit deficit when their shots fell short of crafting a comparable response in kind.

A few gems, some diamonds in the rough at Mining City
At Butte this past weekend, Polson and Ronan grapplers were among several Class A teams in attendance at the Mining City Duals held at the Civic Center. The tournament was structured into multiple pools during first day action with the top teams advancing to champion pool competition and the bottom half competing against each other in consolation duals.
Mission Valley grapplers place 10 at Clark Fork tourney
At Superior this past weekend, Western BC wrestlers from Mission-Charlo and Arlee competed at the Bob Kinney Classic. Mission-Charlo had eight placers, while Arlee notched a pair. The Bulldogs came within one bout of overtaking Cutbank in the team standings.

City of Polson Sale of surplus property to government entity At the November 18, 2019 City Commission meeting, the Commission declared the following vehicles as surplus property to be sold: 1990 Central States Fire Engine and 1998 International Truck. It is now the intent of the City to sell these two vehicles to the Chief Cliff Volunteer Fire Department which is a political subdivision of Lake County, Montana for the sum of $35,000.00. Per MCA 7-8-101(2) the City can sell property directly to another governmental entity without an ordinance, public notice, public auction, bids or appraisal.
